Atsushi has been tormented by the headmaster of the orphanage he used to live in, leaving him as a traumatized boy without any kind of self-esteem. He suffers from nightmares and flashbacks of his past, sometimes leaving him too paralized to do anything.
Atsushi puts his own well-being above that of others, saving friends and even people he doesn't know, sometimes even his enemy at all costs, even if it puts his own life at risk.
He is a truly selfless being, and while he even seems naive at first, he grows into a person who becomes much more steadfast, and develops even a sense of confidence in his ability, once he can control the tiger.
However, he still cares deeply for others and is a fierce protector for those who need it.
STRENGTHS ⋮ He is a deeply caring and empathetic person, and thanks to his ability, and extraordinary fighter. But most of all, he doesn't give up easily, even going as far as putting his own life at risk if it means that the greater good can be preserved.
WEAKNESSES ⋮ in the beginning, his low self esteem and his naivete often got in the way, it still might even now, and his flashbacks to his time in the orphanage cause him to often lose himself in them, resulting in him being so terrified that he can barely move. He also thinks of himself as weak, despite his ability.

Atsushi has grown up in an orphanage, in which the headmaster abused and tortured him relentlessly, both physically and mentally; even locking him away for days on end, seemingly without any reason, or hammering his foot to the ground with a nail.
Only years later would Atushi learn that it was the headmaster's way of protecting them all from the beast inside Atsushi; his then uncontrolled ability of turning into a white tiger.
This treatment has taken a huge toll on Atsushi's sense of self, leaving him with severe PTSD, and after being kicked out at the age of 18 and running into Dazai by chance, it still takes him a while to finally realize that his life is worth more than he likes to think.

Ability & SKILLS ⋮ Beast beneath the moonlight
Ability description ⋮ Atsushi turns into a white tiger, with several stages of transformation: he can grow claws that cut through everything, even other abilities. The next stage is that he grows a tail, and his arms and legs turn into tiger extremities, with his eyes also turning more catlike. The final stage, once he officially joins the ADA and can finally control his ability, is that he completely turns into a white tiger.
His ability also allows him to heal at a rapid speed, even growing back limbs within seconds. He also becomes incredibly fast and strong.
Fighting style ⋮ close range, using his claws and depending on the stage of transformation his teeth
